GrowBiz 2025: A Milestone of Success

A total of 238 micro and small entrepreneurs has successfully completed the GrowBiz 2025 Programme, an initiative aimed at enhancing business capabilities and competitiveness. The GrowBiz Graduation Ceremony was held at the Dewan Perdana Felda, Kuala Lumpur, and was officiated by Chief Secretary of the Ministry of Entrepreneur Development and Cooperatives (KUSKOP), Dato’ Sri Khairul Dzaimee Bin Daud, representing Minister YB Steven Sim Chee Keong.

Building Stronger Entrepreneurs for a Sustainable Future

GrowBiz, implemented under the Micro Entrepreneur Business Development Programme (BizME) by SME Corp Malaysia, provides comprehensive support to entrepreneurs in transitioning their businesses from micro to small-scale enterprises. Since its launch in 2021/2022, this marks the fourth successful cohort under the programme, demonstrating its effectiveness in driving entrepreneurial growth.

Significant Impact on Business Growth

The effectiveness of GrowBiz is evident in the remarkable achievements of its participants. Chief Secretary of the Ministry of Entrepreneur Development and Cooperatives (KUSKOP), Dato’ Sri Khairul Dzaimee Bin Daud, shared key insights into the programme’s impact:

• 56.7% successfully transitioned their businesses from micro to small enterprises.
• 90% expanded their workforce, creating 513 new job opportunities.

These achievements underscore GrowBiz’s role in fostering entrepreneurship, driving economic growth, and enhancing Malaysia’s global business footprint.

Personalized Support for Entrepreneurial Success

GrowBiz’s unique approach to business development includes tailored guidance through training, coaching, and ongoing monitoring. This hand-holding approach ensures that micro businesses receive the necessary mentorship and expertise to scale their operations effectively.  

The programme is executed by appointed implementation partners, with AverNoble Sdn Bhd serving as a key implementation partner responsible for managing participants from Peninsular Malaysia (Central & Southern Region).

Additionally, strategic support is provided by Malaysian Industrial Development Finance Berhad (MIDF), reinforcing the programme’s impact and reach.

Beyond mentorship, GrowBiz connects entrepreneurs with investors, industry experts, and potential business partners, providing platforms for collaboration, market insights, and funding opportunities. These connections help participants accelerate growth, explore new markets, and innovate in their business models.

GrowBiz graduates demonstrate remarkable resilience and innovation:

• Nuraziah binti Zakaria, a participant from Melaka, expanded her bakery from a micro business into a small-scale production enterprise. She shared, “GrowBiz gave me the tools and confidence to scale my business while maintaining quality and creativity.” She also remarked, “The mentoring and networking opportunities opened doors I never thought possible.”
