Course Modules

    Day 1:

    • Overview – Basic Principles & Hazardous Area Classification
    • Ex Protection Techniques and Examples
    • Certification Schemes and Equipment Marking
    • Occupational Health & Safety, Permit to Work System & Isolation
    • Installation of equipment


    Day 2:

    • Selection of Cable Gland and Blanking
    • Cable Glanding and Wiring Systems
    • Earthing System
    • Testing of Equipment & Documentation
    • Ex Register & Hazardous Area Dossier Preparation
    • Practical Session – Installation & Testing

     

    Course Outcome

    • Detail knowledge about different codes & standards, Competency schemes all over the world, concepts and features of various protection techniques.
    • Knowledge of verifying the equipment prior to installation for suitability, various installation practices for different zone rating, testing of equipment online/offline and its requirements.
    • Work culture, procedure, risk management and documentation.
